I see a brown frame and I want to paint it black.

Here is my new Halloween entryway.
 This is the before:
The old window in this picture was a flop project that was just sitting there marinating and irritating me. So the window went to the closet and out came a frame I got from my friend last year.

I painted it black and crackled it. I also added some brown and light blue around for some definition. Actually it is a long story, but I will save you the boring details.

After my frame was done I cut out a piece of carboard for the back covered it with batting and some green courderoy material I had.

I also had the plain twig wreath so I added some doo dads that I already had. So the total cost was ZERO! Free is always cool with me.

P.S Stay tuned ,I have an awesome giveaway coming up on Monday!

Bakery sign reveal!

Hello and thank you for stopping by! Today I want to share with you a project that has been a while in the making, but I finally got myself in gear and finished it. Here is the new "Bakery sign"
The pictures aren't great I know, but that is what you get when you are on a budget. This project cost around $30. Lets break it down for you. I bought the cast iron spoons at a yard sale for $2.00. You can find the before post here and then I spray painted them with high gloss black.

The red and black paint are from Walmart, both are the "Glidden 2 in 1"brand . For more information on that visit this past post here. I tried out the "Krylon 2in1" Spray paint before buying the black glidden, but I did not like it at all. Sorry, I really wanted to like it,I did.The paint took up the rest of the money since I had to go back and buy different black paint. .
Now for the frame, it was free! I got it from my friends old kitchen. I have the whole story about that here.
You are probably wondering what this looked like before, well let me show you right now.
This was my dining room wall before and here it is now.
I still have a-lot to do with the room, but that will probably not happen for sometime. In the meantime I hope to hear from you and thanks again for coming to visit me today.

Big Bear ca attractions day 2

Do you like carved bears that smell fresh of varnish and pine? Well I do ,and did I find bear heaven! It is called Kirby's custom carving. This is an outdoor store located in Big Bear ca on big Bear blvd. My Husband and I made this our last trip before heading home. I said I just wanted to have a "looksy".
Ahhh, this place is incredible! Of course I could kick myself for not taking more pictures! I wanted to adopt every bear there and the moose! I love this piece we are sitting on in this picture in particular. Perhaps one day I will be able to afford something like this. A little FYI though don't sit on the wood,(I got sap all over my butt).  I did however get to take home one little sweetie. Meet "sugar bear".
She was so precious I had to have her and we got such a deal! If you are in big bear don't buy the bears in the shops at the village. Go straight to Kirby's for a real bargain and get a bigger bear! I love my sugar bear, she makes me so happy. Look at her little smile.
I hope you like her too. Have a joyous day !
I am going to head on over to
Weekend Wanderer ,Come join us.
