I just wanted to post some pictures of her beautiful creations.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012039-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="221" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012039-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Her husband cut the wood for the cup cake stand and she wrapped the wood in a jungle theme. She also added a Giant C on top because I am going to name my baby boy Collin.I thought this was so clever because she can reuse these blocks for future parties.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012040-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="221" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012040-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>We agreed that a dessert bar would be best for a Thursday evening shower. I am glad we did because it was a-lot less clean up. Look at her popcorn horns. Aren't they cute!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012038.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012038.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>She wrapped vines around her light fixtures, I thought that was cute.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012042-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/Jan2012042-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>So finally here is the last picture I will post. Milena is on the left and I am on the right. This was the only picture that was remotely alright to post of me. I am due on March first and my face is looking pretty swelly so the rest of the pics will remain in my possession.<br />
Thank you so much Milena and for all who came!<br />

Well there is a<br />
method to my madness. Believe it or not , the chocolate was not crackly yesterday and they are very tasty!<br />
Anyway,so I was looking for a yummy recipe for my baby shower this week and I came across this wonderful "Samoa cookies" one here at <a href="http://onceuponaplaterecipes.blogspot.com/2008/10/homemade-samoas-cookies-girl-scout.html">Once upon a plate recipes</a>.<br />
Look how gorgeous hers look!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTFMJ17GnGjxb4j9ISQySqdGENdvKcS5NMQ2vGAvSnZRTsAWQ2yBQDXFF3rMF2i9ebH3MFsVgWvp0h1ePOOaGNbQFn3hZPHK1wTuMzur_ghDluSoP_tHMqzd1WB_eV-3jNcBYTVSBKinDG/s1600/33056.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTFMJ17GnGjxb4j9ISQySqdGENdvKcS5NMQ2vGAvSnZRTsAWQ2yBQDXFF3rMF2i9ebH3MFsVgWvp0h1ePOOaGNbQFn3hZPHK1wTuMzur_ghDluSoP_tHMqzd1WB_eV-3jNcBYTVSBKinDG/s1600/33056.jpg" /></a></div>Alright so mine are a bit embarrassing! Anyway everything was going just great with the first cookie layer,I thought I had this in the bag. That was until the dreaded caramel topping ahhhhhhhhhh. I followed the recipe and I think I am just a bit slow because the mixture I made was so thick that it would not even stick to my cookie. It was not only thick,but it solidified like a rock! I tried to chew through it and I felt like my teeth were going to fall out. I wanted to throw the whole darn bowl across the room,but then that wouldn't be to lady like would it?<br />
Well,I had some luck on my side yesterday,I happened to buy a second bag of caramels. GOOD THING!<br />
Instead of melting them all at once,I decided to put in about 5-7 pieces at a time in the microwave and I added a bit of water. I then I added a small amount of the toasted coconut to the mixture and it worked out a-lot easier for me. I think now I might even try making them again. Now as for the crackly chocolate on top,I think I will use Wilton melting chocolates instead of semi-sweet chocolate chips next time.<br />
Now I am not trying to bag on the recipe,it probably worked out very well for Mari over at "once upon a plate",and I am so very happy that she shared her recipe because I will try it again in the future.I am just keeping it real with my experience.<br />
It is all rather funny really.Connie the crafterbughttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16979213512056959371noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-941374418578555845.post-24311003745144503542012-01-23T14:59:00.000-08:002012-01-23T14:59:54.673-08:00Addicted to Sarah's house<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji_Rg4p1_AOm0nnX21i7-9aQN0XTvc_aas40EmBfVSRVMC3ifkuoIb1Ag3wssp7b0Ffx-pGjswx8j76N5XNn6Ftt_X5wXVuizCNAtnJf87VrKnIxjab3q0Rhj1Rtkn8u10EX6BxV4LtEA4/s1600/cp60-sarahs-house_s234x60.jpg" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.hgtv.ca/sarahshouse/default.aspx">http://www.hgtv.ca/sarahshouse/default.aspx</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>Most of you probably don't know that I do not have cable, or dish or whatever. In fact I didn't have Netflix until this Christmas when my sister gave it to me as a free trial for three months. Now this may seem crazy,but is it really? Think about it, I can go to <a href="http://www.hgtv.com/">www.hgtv.com</a> and find all the shows I want to see right here at my computer. I think it is pretty terrific really! But the most awesome discovery I made this week was this show " Sarah's House". I know I am way behind on these shows,but I am so addicted!<br />
If you happened to miss this show check it out! She buys a house and renovates the whole thing including all the landscaping. Granted,she doesn't physically do all the labor and she has a bunch of money to throw down,but who cares. I think that is why I like the show so much.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkubMt0mmiU9jZHOovcwy-sPDEE5Ad9inM5wfxwfI33BAGCR2CxEsDKtoQ2kpm7NlkaZH-3RpHwi9f6bygBS3l5eN3DEOMITauOoAujL46pJjFkMoG_dYzfNCflozVIElXM8GDLElmXYqx/s1600/main_rec_room.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkubMt0mmiU9jZHOovcwy-sPDEE5Ad9inM5wfxwfI33BAGCR2CxEsDKtoQ2kpm7NlkaZH-3RpHwi9f6bygBS3l5eN3DEOMITauOoAujL46pJjFkMoG_dYzfNCflozVIElXM8GDLElmXYqx/s1600/main_rec_room.jpg" /></a></div> Anyway check it out,I think you will enjoy.<br />

Tomorrow I will be 8 months pregnant and I am really feeling it. The heaviness that is,but I figure I might as well enjoy the treats while I can for now! So today in the midst of my gluttonous rampage I am going to share a delicious recipe with you.<br />
This recipe is derived from <u>The Pillsbury Cookbook.</u> <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/067-2-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/067-2-1.jpg" width="267" /></a></div>Can you tell that I have used this a bit in the past 10 years of my married life? Well anyway the recipe today is.............<br />
<u><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><span style="font-size: x-large;">Pillsbury cinnamon swirl raisin bread</span><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></u><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/031-1-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/031-1-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><u><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></u><br />
<u><span style="font-size: large;">Ingredients for dough</span></u><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">5-6 Cups all purpose flour (or bread flour)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">3 Tblsp sugar</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">2 tsp salt</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">2 pkg active dry yeast ( I did two tblsp)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">2 Cups warm room temp water</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">1/4 Cup oil or shortening</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">1/2 tsp cinnamon </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">1 cup raisons</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Filling</u> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">1/4 cup granulated sugar</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">1 tsp Cinnamon</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Melted butter or margarine</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u><br />
</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Topping ( I added this)</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">1/2 cup powdered sugar</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">About 1 tblsp milk</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; font-size: large;"><i>Warning: I have slightly altered this recipe from it's original version.</i></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u><br />
</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step 1</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Mix water,sugar and yeast in bowl. Let stand for about 10 min. (It should get nice and foamy).</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step2</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">In a separate bowl mix together salt,2 cups of flour and cinnamon.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u><br />
</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step 3</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Transfer yeast mixture to a stand up mixer with a kneading hook. Add oil and dry mixture to the yeast. Start blending the dough together. Add in your raisins then slowly add in the additional flour until the dough does not stick to the sides. Add in about a 1/2 cup flour at a time. It shouldn't be really dry or sticky,but somewhere in between.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u><br />
</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u> Step 4</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Kneading</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> You have two options with kneading your dough.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Option A.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">You can take it out of your mixer and knead your dough by hand on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Option B.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Leave your dough in the mixer and let the dough hooks knead it for about 8 minutes. You will need to add little sprinkles of flour to the dough while it is mixing. I can usually tell when the dough is ready when it relaxes a bit. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step 5</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Make dough into a ball and transfer to a greased bowl. Cover the bowl loosely with plastic wrap that has been greased. Follow with a dry cloth to cover the top. Now set in a warm place for 45-60min until it is doubled in size.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">To check your dough to see if it is ready,stick your finger in it and if it leaves an indent it is ready. If the indent doesn't stay then the dough is not ready.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step 6</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">After dough has risen ,punch down dough several times to remove any air bubbles. Divide dough in half and shape into two balls.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Take one ball at a time and roll out into a 14x7 inch rectangle. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Now spread melted butter over the top and then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar filling. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step7</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Starting with 7 inch side,roll up. Seal edges and place seem side down into a medium sized greased loaf pan. Now repeat step 6 and seven to make your other loaf.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step 8</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Cover and let rise for about 30min or until the dough is 1 inch above the pan edges. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step 9</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Uncover and bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Step 10</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">After the bread has baked remove from the pan. Mix the powdered sugar and milk together in a small bowl to make a smooth glaze. Pour the glaze over the top of the hot bread. Allow the the bread to set for 30 minutes before cutting to get the best results.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">All right,now it is time for you to give it a try. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Have a look at ,my first attempt at making this bread vs the second attempt.</span><br />

I also had three rambunctious little kids that like to play with the Christmas tree. How do these two relate? Well I made kid friendly ornaments with the canning lids!<br />
These are so fun and easy! But I must warn you, they are rather addicting.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/006-3-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/006-3-1.jpg" width="239" /></a></div>This is a great way to use old Christmas cards or Christmas bags. In fact,I got most of my ribbon and ties from recycled Christmas bag handles.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/012-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="258" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/012-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>All you need are the following supplies:<br />
Hot glue<br />
Decoupage medium or Mod podge<br />
Canning lids and rings<br />
Ribbon<br />
Paper image or fabric<br />
Felt<br />
The snowman I have shown above was super easy. I cut out some fabric and mod podged it to the canning lid. I did a layer on the bottom of the fabric first ,when it dried I appled a liberal amount of Mod podge to the top of the fabric. After it was completely dry. I hot glued the rick rack around the back of the lid, followed by the ribbon handle. I then glued a felt circle to the back to cover all my mess.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/014-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/014-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
For the more three dimensional ornaments I did the same thing,but I used the canning rings over the top of the lid and then glued the rick rack etc to the ring.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAGm9SuGB3BmR4lCLCCkRRZApKqYGF34HOZ8uRc4VEmmhMJm3LAfg_nyw2lHpKDrCCNKPUOb_8S_GO4eBOJloN6a-V5uRjODsYWMVc5qawnEAU12JrC8OZD2fiTLOdC7IAjjCy3gVzorGb/s1600/canninglids2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAGm9SuGB3BmR4lCLCCkRRZApKqYGF34HOZ8uRc4VEmmhMJm3LAfg_nyw2lHpKDrCCNKPUOb_8S_GO4eBOJloN6a-V5uRjODsYWMVc5qawnEAU12JrC8OZD2fiTLOdC7IAjjCy3gVzorGb/s1600/canninglids2.jpg" /></a></div>I am really happy with how these turned out. My kids take these around the house and I don't stress about it.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> The hard drive on our computer went down and so etc etc. No need to explain. Now here we are just days away from Christmas and what do I have to show from it besides a couple pounds? I have finally finished these little Christmas signs today.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/076-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/076-1.jpg" width="252" /></a></div><br />
Let me back up, I tried to paint these signs yesterday while I was yelling at my kids, my heart was racing and I was not in the right "aura" at the moment .I didn't stop painting though no,no I kept messing up and I was thinking that if I just did one more layer of paint then I would fix my issues. It didn't work and I hated the signs and myself so I went to bed a little sad. Hahaha isn't that dumb.<br />
Here is what they looked like yesterday.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/066.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/066.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I think the most ironic part about this, is that I was painting words like Peace and Cheer when really I was feeling RAGE and FRUSTRATION!<br />
Anyway I didn't want to paint over these misfits again so I got out my mod podge and my "Cricut "machine. I got the machine last Christmas and I have only used it a handful of times. I don't my husband to think I am ungrateful and that I don' t love nice presents so now I can show him that I really do love his gifts.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/071-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/071-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>These turned out really sparkly,but I couldn't get a good enough picture you will just have to visualize the glitter in your head.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/067-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac132/fiowallace/067-1.jpg" width="239" /></a></div>I am hanging these signs up on my <a href="http://thecrafterbug.blogspot.com/2011/11/polka-dots-for-grown-ups.html">Polka dot cabinet doors</a> that I posted a couple weeks back.<br />
So what is the words of warning here? If at first you don't succeed,dust yourself and try again.<br />
And don't paint when you are mad.<br />

Well actually, they were from my friends old kitchen,but now they are mine and now they look new! Here is a looky loo.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGb3c0pgDgk6gxHvWVtdp2JdoesrHc4KNgiFbrua4_2Q9GrBaSAkG0654s7GV3VhT5Tg00RCgCn8YIo-H6UwW2jwbuZRqOrCjeA-B2SpJh6rCA8Ov2lmjxxPk8U-NArtsB72gt30oPMOYK/s1600/DSCF9558.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGb3c0pgDgk6gxHvWVtdp2JdoesrHc4KNgiFbrua4_2Q9GrBaSAkG0654s7GV3VhT5Tg00RCgCn8YIo-H6UwW2jwbuZRqOrCjeA-B2SpJh6rCA8Ov2lmjxxPk8U-NArtsB72gt30oPMOYK/s320/DSCF9558.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>I love polka dots don't you? And I wanted to find a place for them in my home besides my daughters room. Can you guess where I put these doors. For those of you that follow my blog,you will probably remember my "<a href="http://thecrafterbug.blogspot.com/2011/09/bakery-sign-reveal.html">Bakery</a>" Sign in my dining room. Here is what it looked like before... <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIXT1mW3FnYQwdWZcjJz2MBZGtjh328SJNcqMHljhZFtRavnt_AjkxyGxcVrJeB_IqfGD_PKaeGVDXZ97NRX5XkAD05hfCyEuSyCjOno1CBsqYFz6e8AClQvm5oM4DgqtDC3j9nZuTK15G/s1600/DSCF9324.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIXT1mW3FnYQwdWZcjJz2MBZGtjh328SJNcqMHljhZFtRavnt_AjkxyGxcVrJeB_IqfGD_PKaeGVDXZ97NRX5XkAD05hfCyEuSyCjOno1CBsqYFz6e8AClQvm5oM4DgqtDC3j9nZuTK15G/s320/DSCF9324.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>And now.....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7YMlYqtx-BShP6uAcf4vOCzhkLj6lpeU2Ouhs4c4SxC7QHsIXjvmu0ac-4AdvtYW4DP2I0xrSOkjecsQpjGooNdAYL7_CV6igb2xR2P2G3Va4toVXGDCXODSU_dOHzyG55Jkroj-Yki8_/s1600/DSCF9559.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="201" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7YMlYqtx-BShP6uAcf4vOCzhkLj6lpeU2Ouhs4c4SxC7QHsIXjvmu0ac-4AdvtYW4DP2I0xrSOkjecsQpjGooNdAYL7_CV6igb2xR2P2G3Va4toVXGDCXODSU_dOHzyG55Jkroj-Yki8_/s320/DSCF9559.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Okay so I am not the "photographer bug" ,but they look really cute in person. I plan on hanging seasonal decor from the hooks for every holiday. I bought the hooks at hobby lobby by the way. That was the first time I had ever been to that store and let me tell you, that place is AWESOME! I wish we had one closer.<br />
Well here is how I made these.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6o6sAVNyG_t6JlC3fOfs9iiw_2QsWb-OAc7sPxE2HjL6no0E1CHmhOV4niRRgSfCvIXSJw-SDNpoDRB7C1PDu2fsckT50KWPZnZQSowQ2TmZ0OaYtXoAwHNnC7XioFoEClBFbReA-vm64/s1600/DSCF9553.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6o6sAVNyG_t6JlC3fOfs9iiw_2QsWb-OAc7sPxE2HjL6no0E1CHmhOV4niRRgSfCvIXSJw-SDNpoDRB7C1PDu2fsckT50KWPZnZQSowQ2TmZ0OaYtXoAwHNnC7XioFoEClBFbReA-vm64/s320/DSCF9553.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
This was the piece I took the doors from.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4aSVvPDFJ2B8KQaf3XOPkVKlDrAkFqMNCn1ImtH5dUxCxeGYo6JKcr_lZe2zt8zNI0QbCD4LvN_A4fZRzn0x3tZxCH6k6ubQBRIJnm-ZPBIHbC4ZZh3BPSM2HNkLXTVXTk0tV3_OuDj8p/s1600/DSCF9474.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4aSVvPDFJ2B8KQaf3XOPkVKlDrAkFqMNCn1ImtH5dUxCxeGYo6JKcr_lZe2zt8zNI0QbCD4LvN_A4fZRzn0x3tZxCH6k6ubQBRIJnm-ZPBIHbC4ZZh3BPSM2HNkLXTVXTk0tV3_OuDj8p/s320/DSCF9474.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I sanded the wood,primed it and then cut out this little oval from a grocery bag.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"> I am going to introduce you to two night stands that I have been working on for an embarrassingly long time. I bought these two night stands at a thrift store back in.....August. They were pretty ugly and stinky,but they had potential. I chose these pieces because they were solid wood, no cheapy fake stuff and I really liked the style. Here are what the little darlings looked like before.</span><br />

I am not into scary decorating however,I like "cute and cuddly". I think what I especially love about Halloween decorations are all the colors you can use! </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi02lcAsMJNvORYDub6wOGygWRZnT1EeRg6r67cq5SMwAmJPOHevPRdHEk1x2Ug8-kaOt_SV8-_CynQ-1LyhOw34_Kw_dZ4Me5XC0SToOmpuRdOJpRmSs8TRnzBUxLsZdPN5pG1etnwwWyF/s1600/DSCF9369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi02lcAsMJNvORYDub6wOGygWRZnT1EeRg6r67cq5SMwAmJPOHevPRdHEk1x2Ug8-kaOt_SV8-_CynQ-1LyhOw34_Kw_dZ4Me5XC0SToOmpuRdOJpRmSs8TRnzBUxLsZdPN5pG1etnwwWyF/s320/DSCF9369.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So anyway, a little history about this. I was getting ready to hop into bed about three years ago and this idea came to my head of a little witch flying on a cat with a green sky and purple city below. So I found some small canvases at Wal-mart and I painted three of these. They looked cute,but not finished.I have been hanging this picture up by a ribbon all these years so finally this year I decided to get a frame at a thrift store.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpxrUvbuxMgFZGMCduXrd9YIj7jAladUcSrWueyT3o5P6rqwlf-02tXFZT0EI3VhyX0ifLgN9wUeG07dFlXioy6jV3dbvGTf8X0yKC0bLf8rmg_RBW-YJn3YPWGxpIDQjQAmIMNJyLp_KH/s1600/DSCF9366.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpxrUvbuxMgFZGMCduXrd9YIj7jAladUcSrWueyT3o5P6rqwlf-02tXFZT0EI3VhyX0ifLgN9wUeG07dFlXioy6jV3dbvGTf8X0yKC0bLf8rmg_RBW-YJn3YPWGxpIDQjQAmIMNJyLp_KH/s320/DSCF9366.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>I painted the frame and now it looks like a more established decoration.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisb_A5reTKRaCKHW6yE9S0dcBeJj0i4pvGH-x1fDSUkAxI7aWR8IIzghOKwO_96zFAdnupjNoydDPiLRUut3Tv2tI6E4f5lTw1ucWdKEWF5RU0leKEUughdEE8R-wlRS8DlVSeHAirJ4_y/s1600/DSCF9372.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisb_A5reTKRaCKHW6yE9S0dcBeJj0i4pvGH-x1fDSUkAxI7aWR8IIzghOKwO_96zFAdnupjNoydDPiLRUut3Tv2tI6E4f5lTw1ucWdKEWF5RU0leKEUughdEE8R-wlRS8DlVSeHAirJ4_y/s320/DSCF9372.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">If in the future I find a more interesting frame with scroll work then I will probably change it,but for now we are happy. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"> I have not posted anything real "crafty" lately.Not because I don't want to ,but more because these rickety pregnant bones of mine don't always agree with me. I managed to paint this yesterday though and it was really fun!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Two days ago my friend threw down a little challenge for me ,she wanted me to paint a plastic window that she was having a hard time with. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This is what it looked like two days ago.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5ZT-lC1c275lqsuRl73tvfSv4cnDzdZhLa22Ka0SC7bguayy5ZlxrOHDbPOKAKEhWydBcukP6smmHbMaDHtZDgJO0hxvzaCXxFVZi_ejahsGREnZ8sKX8GoDBU_fpe3qxBZx_VvlK8JXF/s1600/DSCF9379.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5ZT-lC1c275lqsuRl73tvfSv4cnDzdZhLa22Ka0SC7bguayy5ZlxrOHDbPOKAKEhWydBcukP6smmHbMaDHtZDgJO0hxvzaCXxFVZi_ejahsGREnZ8sKX8GoDBU_fpe3qxBZx_VvlK8JXF/s320/DSCF9379.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Then I drew my main shapes on a paper and cut them out. I then used them as sort of a stencil. Have a look. To get the middle stencil I folded my paper and cut it out snowflake style,It made it so much easier.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">She wanted a faux , frenchy looking bathroom piece. She showed me a-lot of examples of the colors and styles from the website <a href="http://www.fulcrumgallery.com/">http://www.fulcrumgallery.com/</a>.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">There are tons of cool prints on that website!I think I will be visiting there more often for further inspiration.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Anyway I made sure to use a top coat over the whole window since it will be exposed to a-lot of steam in her bathroom.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Lets have another looky and the finished project. </span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/sq1nXI8k7Pc?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><span style="font-size: large;">The movie is kind of cheesy yes,but it really IS great digital scrapbook software! Every week on the website they post lots of new free downloads,they also have kits you can buy. Like this one</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiixUjnXkrOqKTNOCt7hIteHV_5e7TO6z3olgcoSXa3zISQFrGIcLTtGrugeViFhPoxpMxHWzTJkLK-BTwN1Ku-PpgDibIq9kDZW03SagZoMBx8zzHsBaDABsfbz_FJUTMpxgc1bGzna9ud/s1600/Toil_And_Trouble_Kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiixUjnXkrOqKTNOCt7hIteHV_5e7TO6z3olgcoSXa3zISQFrGIcLTtGrugeViFhPoxpMxHWzTJkLK-BTwN1Ku-PpgDibIq9kDZW03SagZoMBx8zzHsBaDABsfbz_FJUTMpxgc1bGzna9ud/s320/Toil_And_Trouble_Kit.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">for under $10.00. Isn't this cute! I totally want to get this one! The great thing about kits like this,is that once you have them downloaded ,you have it forever! This pack comes with paper,embellishments,lettering and frames that you can use over and over again. They also have pre-designed pages that come directly on the software and you can just add your photos right in. Here is an example of some of the free already made pages that I used. </span><br />

The pages also allowed me to move the little designs around and change the background paper if I wanted to. There are tons of options you have with this software. You can make photo books,web albums,interactive albums with video,calendars,cards or you can print them out page by page.They also have several different layout sizes so you can put your pages in picture frames or in albums that you already have at home. This is the before:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqHek3x1pVRyDVql8qcSRQL56eKeOiKmnE6d1kJxUP5_elvImO8NKVBkTg54qW-Ej-r8-QSSkcqjaEAFJEgQ-TaxOLAr_8OrpARBzXU7ZiZIzlPuLZi54ZWbCxcvocmDk3Aj32amTRmWCg/s1600/DSCF9345.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqHek3x1pVRyDVql8qcSRQL56eKeOiKmnE6d1kJxUP5_elvImO8NKVBkTg54qW-Ej-r8-QSSkcqjaEAFJEgQ-TaxOLAr_8OrpARBzXU7ZiZIzlPuLZi54ZWbCxcvocmDk3Aj32amTRmWCg/s320/DSCF9345.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>The old window in this picture was a flop project that was just sitting there marinating and irritating me. So the window went to the closet and out came a frame I got from my friend last year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeu7SsgYW1Ldtw9mYeJmxEWB6UBYus9punXHddGyfnwe3szym0IGziZV7dZZ96DWDFc7dCz8scNZK9-V6mLBeSLXyMB_6_oWTc3Hj9qx6MrWGJM_JdND-ykQP6STUZSPOobOzBVjtj88fw/s1600/DSCF9347.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeu7SsgYW1Ldtw9mYeJmxEWB6UBYus9punXHddGyfnwe3szym0IGziZV7dZZ96DWDFc7dCz8scNZK9-V6mLBeSLXyMB_6_oWTc3Hj9qx6MrWGJM_JdND-ykQP6STUZSPOobOzBVjtj88fw/s320/DSCF9347.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I painted it black and crackled it. I also added some brown and light blue around for some definition. Actually it is a long story,but I will save you the boring details.<br />
<br />
After my frame was done I cut out a piece of carboard for the back covered it with batting and some green courderoy material I had.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrYKszmkVd5tFOdshi6bTLZqUoqo90vpeXMyqMv8S-Jvu_yPxFNeIJ-Vg_jgMUglVDvmyE4lAWq05kx1QJyg0DOM4jFpmAafQPU0BpViCsxLCUNejSkqVBp11vwnRljg6nFZKs_aE73G-8/s1600/DSCF9363.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrYKszmkVd5tFOdshi6bTLZqUoqo90vpeXMyqMv8S-Jvu_yPxFNeIJ-Vg_jgMUglVDvmyE4lAWq05kx1QJyg0DOM4jFpmAafQPU0BpViCsxLCUNejSkqVBp11vwnRljg6nFZKs_aE73G-8/s320/DSCF9363.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I also had the plain twig wreath so I added some doo dads that I already had. So the total cost was ZERO! Free is always cool with me.<br />
<br />

This project cost around $30. Lets break it down for you. I bought the cast iron spoons at a yard sale for $2.00. You can find the before post <a href="http://thecrafterbug.blogspot.com/2011/07/my-super-treasures.html">here</a> and then I spray painted them with high gloss black.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8vY1ZVyLGoff-NPk2emnVuy196vI_vyiTShW3srFDk8VrG4W8yBV-4eYyZNyfA0ZN3KDpdinthMj5pkpDAwPKjQBUQyDaBwn-RnSWXKKcBr51r_Q4VuS5O60UYy1kJEyan9PDGlgCfddm/s1600/DSCF9328.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8vY1ZVyLGoff-NPk2emnVuy196vI_vyiTShW3srFDk8VrG4W8yBV-4eYyZNyfA0ZN3KDpdinthMj5pkpDAwPKjQBUQyDaBwn-RnSWXKKcBr51r_Q4VuS5O60UYy1kJEyan9PDGlgCfddm/s320/DSCF9328.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The red and black paint are from Walmart,both are the "Glidden 2 in 1"brand . For more information on that visit this past post <a href="http://thecrafterbug.blogspot.com/2011/07/dining-room-project-sneak-peak.html">here</a>. I tried out the "Krylon 2in1" Spray paint before buying the black glidden,but I did not like it at all. Sorry, I really wanted to like it,I did.The paint took up the rest of the money since I had to go back and buy different black paint. .</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Now for the frame, it was free! I got it from my friends old kitchen. I have the whole story about that <a href="http://thecrafterbug.blogspot.com/2011/07/creating-something-new.html">here</a>.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> You are probably wondering what this looked like before, well let me show you right now.</span><br />

</div>
Do you like carved bears that smell fresh of varnish and pine? Well I do ,and did I find bear heaven! It is called <i style="color: red;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><a href="http://www.bigbearcarvings.com/">Kirby's custom carving</a></span></i>. This is an outdoor store located in Big Bear ca on big Bear blvd. My Husband and I made this our last trip before heading home. I said I just wanted to have a "looksy".<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnhxhEKNlhflFcqiL33s1fVB_X9QNXGzYzYa_HoQUunscXJXc9bXtPD7e_lQykscks0eHdLwXugdb1aQsDEyMpFMIur-YYAjUz7uHBXAy9kD1by-18jOHq6onGp6trpz4t-h1tupwYTAlB/s1600/DSCF9286.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnhxhEKNlhflFcqiL33s1fVB_X9QNXGzYzYa_HoQUunscXJXc9bXtPD7e_lQykscks0eHdLwXugdb1aQsDEyMpFMIur-YYAjUz7uHBXAy9kD1by-18jOHq6onGp6trpz4t-h1tupwYTAlB/s320/DSCF9286.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Ahhh,this place is incredible! Of course I could kick myself for not taking more pictures! I wanted to adopt every bear there and the moose! I love this piece we are sitting on in this picture in particular. Perhaps one day I will be able to afford something like this. A little FYI though don't sit on the wood,(I got sap all over my butt). I did however get to take home one little sweetie. Meet "sugar bear".<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

She was so precious I had to have her and we got such a deal! If you are in big bear don't buy the bears in the shops at the village. Go straight to Kirby's for a real bargain and get a bigger bear! I love my sugar bear,she makes me so happy. Look at her little smile.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I hope you like her too. Have a joyous day !<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"> Last weekend my husband and I celebrated our anniversary at big bear lake ca. We have been married for 10 years and this was the first weekend that we got away together without the kids since, well ....before we had them. I love my little chiddlers,but it was awesome! Here is one of the major reasons we had such a blast!</span><br />
Check out this candy store! I was dyiyyyngggg. It is the<i style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="font-size: small;"> "<a href="http://www.northpolefudge.com/index.htm">North Pole Fudge and ice cream company</a>"</span></i><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx4bVpnjsZq1xGNSTTnDB4gvm-CbRm940X9c2VbOwcgF_CyK43F2KygaDWc2igJuOKXRHonssuY6Jxn6PW5r2zFc_26F3UaSCJgnRV42V0HaT6V9Ome4PhP2DZ80DFKbkqEyq36L94jsCK/s1600/DSCF9288.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx4bVpnjsZq1xGNSTTnDB4gvm-CbRm940X9c2VbOwcgF_CyK43F2KygaDWc2igJuOKXRHonssuY6Jxn6PW5r2zFc_26F3UaSCJgnRV42V0HaT6V9Ome4PhP2DZ80DFKbkqEyq36L94jsCK/s320/DSCF9288.JPG" width="220" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Seriously, I was in a fit of giggles. I am sure the sales clerk was growing tired of us ogggling over everything and not coming to a decision ,but she kept a smile the whole time. Doesn't it look like my husband is inhaling all that yummy chocolate ecstasy. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjep_txQzJuyUm50cekgDD2UwIDvWDrXN6yS-uWFb8ybFe9MrvP0vjNLlb6XGjXnTX_aZc3oW6mOtOuK6Z0bPKwr3y151nwhIaFZs6b7JqBgU-Z6fDK3eZuyIhWHLbUtZ3XSGfbdEm2i_si/s1600/DSCF9289.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjep_txQzJuyUm50cekgDD2UwIDvWDrXN6yS-uWFb8ybFe9MrvP0vjNLlb6XGjXnTX_aZc3oW6mOtOuK6Z0bPKwr3y151nwhIaFZs6b7JqBgU-Z6fDK3eZuyIhWHLbUtZ3XSGfbdEm2i_si/s320/DSCF9289.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">We finally decided that we each needed our own caramel apple for our first day. I got the caramel apple coated with white chocolate and cinnamon. He got the one smothered with caramel,milk chocolate and peanut butter. I am telling you it was like a candy honeymoon. I thought my eyeballs we going to stay permanently in the back of my head. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0IN6GPbfi7XciUQHX_MzW0uTlsosbyHW3b83di9IhVMZNF8yb-UPiWqaf_YmLWL8JrGf-0ZfKRfQ195vHsVMKCZ8Jfv__gBp5lAaHJBFY1aCIXd0dEHavTg92xaYAdZQ2SA8rj2SSDvGn/s1600/DSCF9290.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0IN6GPbfi7XciUQHX_MzW0uTlsosbyHW3b83di9IhVMZNF8yb-UPiWqaf_YmLWL8JrGf-0ZfKRfQ195vHsVMKCZ8Jfv__gBp5lAaHJBFY1aCIXd0dEHavTg92xaYAdZQ2SA8rj2SSDvGn/s320/DSCF9290.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">They had all sorts of fudge,caramel apples, ice cream, things like chocolate covered twinkies,yum,yum,yum,yum! Oh and they also had a little sugar free counter too. So because we aren't the real sporty type and we needed something fun to do. We went for a second and third time. On the second day I got an ice cream and on the third we bought two pounds of chocolate to bring home to share with everyone. All the chocolate was gone that same night.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2rv9lcgKWxUkJ0dbELeaj9VeiG8gPCCbAvMfFlrh4TgU8IdErxVX_FaPfaLOD9M_5Gn4Q1FNyE5sIIMvsWw6YPvoZaQLFIlA50h_MLxZGDRsBUmy0XCmnlCRrTtZ7XJ37L55mY2yb1K0Q/s1600/DSCF9291.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2rv9lcgKWxUkJ0dbELeaj9VeiG8gPCCbAvMfFlrh4TgU8IdErxVX_FaPfaLOD9M_5Gn4Q1FNyE5sIIMvsWw6YPvoZaQLFIlA50h_MLxZGDRsBUmy0XCmnlCRrTtZ7XJ37L55mY2yb1K0Q/s320/DSCF9291.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So if you are visiting Big Bear anytime, this is a must! To miss out on this little peace of sinful delight would be a complete misfortune.</span><br />
<br />
I am going to join the fun over at<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"> I am almost done with my <a href="http://thecrafterbug.blogspot.com/2011/07/dining-room-project-sneak-peak.html">" Red Wall project"</a>. I just need my hubbies help with a couple of things and since he hurt his back,it probably won't happen for awhile.(Not his fault) SOOOO.. now what? I am going to share with you something I painted about 6 years ago for my friends daughters room.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwShDzQ8CIeezSocX-R8rFn-NayiIPzQJFfl15R29wPUOQMUn3CMlmIa5NLE6L0y3j279OtnXbAubRO0a5zymRCp8KZj2ns4mgrJK58WT2rjnCXFZCSyjMORb9uHF89el3dwAgT83B2Xs3/s1600/2006_0601Image0166.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwShDzQ8CIeezSocX-R8rFn-NayiIPzQJFfl15R29wPUOQMUn3CMlmIa5NLE6L0y3j279OtnXbAubRO0a5zymRCp8KZj2ns4mgrJK58WT2rjnCXFZCSyjMORb9uHF89el3dwAgT83B2Xs3/s320/2006_0601Image0166.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Now this is a perfect example of what happens when you do not plan out your project properly. The images started to merge into the side wall and this would have been much better moved way over to the left. Cinderella looks a little scared like they are going to crash.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTJkz_oprmYoBV3-AexVGQ2_xY7TSW4xQk5rtt_jWhyphenhyphen5z4LlKzAr4idHOwdktVc6Xi1lhw1pWzO2od-32G2v5SVkFjtWp8hTLtUxl3_AUH2nE67ttdCTJi3_WlSCGq1MGU1i3hL_YTrvyg/s1600/2006_0601Image0169.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTJkz_oprmYoBV3-AexVGQ2_xY7TSW4xQk5rtt_jWhyphenhyphen5z4LlKzAr4idHOwdktVc6Xi1lhw1pWzO2od-32G2v5SVkFjtWp8hTLtUxl3_AUH2nE67ttdCTJi3_WlSCGq1MGU1i3hL_YTrvyg/s320/2006_0601Image0169.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">But you know what,one can not complain. I didn't charge anything to do this and it took a-lot of time ,plus I didn't have a projector or a picture of Cinderella sitting to go off of. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9LDTYZFu6LlGqyts6NyHIf3BXSKrAoEa0DDvJuDFbqSHyHhdUCFOxVOnkxJM3ai8pyxS7BKO8NXyIL4UFXL0YUHGWjnNcSQoO9T4GIvdrwaa0vVJsK4730LD6Df-WQrf5wqAvcp608rMK/s1600/2006_0601Image0172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9LDTYZFu6LlGqyts6NyHIf3BXSKrAoEa0DDvJuDFbqSHyHhdUCFOxVOnkxJM3ai8pyxS7BKO8NXyIL4UFXL0YUHGWjnNcSQoO9T4GIvdrwaa0vVJsK4730LD6Df-WQrf5wqAvcp608rMK/s320/2006_0601Image0172.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">I found pictures of the other Disney Characters in coloring books and other children's books. They were a-lot easier.Now if I were to do this again, I would use a projector! Also if you do this make sure have your full design ready before you start to paint it , you will save so much time!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyAmiRYA0eave0QtMQg4ZNK9DTvLgm6nuh4CymrxMCmwirvcMjOav_Y7SyB0NW9TTJPUa6t2PinxqxFJBh9kFWCDe_TKwPOP9I4mksQkG8NzVi_FVMOjDQ0EyAqk4Ij4I2c3qBBTK9A_MK/s1600/2006_0601Image0168.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyAmiRYA0eave0QtMQg4ZNK9DTvLgm6nuh4CymrxMCmwirvcMjOav_Y7SyB0NW9TTJPUa6t2PinxqxFJBh9kFWCDe_TKwPOP9I4mksQkG8NzVi_FVMOjDQ0EyAqk4Ij4I2c3qBBTK9A_MK/s320/2006_0601Image0168.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">I still think it turned out cute,it was nice of my friend to let me practice on her wall. This was a good learning experience. One day I hope to do another Disney mural. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> This week will probably be dedicated to past projects until I finish my latest one. Thank you for stopping by, feel free to add any tips or suggestions or anything,(just not mean).</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">I have been working on my dining room project on and off for three days now. I want to share with you a couple snippets of what I have been doing. I don't want to ruin the whole surprise so I wont share everything just yet.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I am just going to throw a whole bunch of pictures at you right now.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"> You have to admit I have been in a little slump these days. I seem to have the black thumb for creating lately,but that is OKAY because you know what,it just is.So there you go. I WILL PERSEVERE! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I am putting some of my old projects on hold and I am going to start a new/old project. Is this a good idea? Of course because I am going to do it anyway.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So look what I get to work on.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOIJZR7G-7JnAIpTs_wujcgHSSV_dFSqK0yEu7EYBjmzLYMVBCWqN9JoohO3oP5E03cf16nCa-GpSFf1nVUtNbuAkALK8hymPmKYuV97UzU9QIV8FtdtSuPPMHtzPs4SRu7APtM-2jeM-u/s1600/DSCF9152.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOIJZR7G-7JnAIpTs_wujcgHSSV_dFSqK0yEu7EYBjmzLYMVBCWqN9JoohO3oP5E03cf16nCa-GpSFf1nVUtNbuAkALK8hymPmKYuV97UzU9QIV8FtdtSuPPMHtzPs4SRu7APtM-2jeM-u/s320/DSCF9152.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">What is that? A door? NO it is part of an old cabinet that my friend had in her kitchen. She got to get new pretty cabinets...I got all the junk leftovers,but I wanted them! When I say them, I mean that I have a-lot more pieces in my garage. This is just the tip of the ice berg.</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I am planning on hanging this in my dining room, my wall is pretty sparse because as my husband would say "I think too much" I can not decide what I want,and I have limited resources. Here is the wall of my dining room.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgimJL5naApSKGwaG3Je54hS5N2SHcQvUGfwDwLdzKDKqskY1SU_d9bIjEMRkxMAc_lOslQSni9C9xuSxHAt7PmZKzhOysU4xrsLE7TyRU1Mxm_XCvYIpZQ_NmeA7crjGGGgpwKkGtUdGC/s1600/DSCF9153.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgimJL5naApSKGwaG3Je54hS5N2SHcQvUGfwDwLdzKDKqskY1SU_d9bIjEMRkxMAc_lOslQSni9C9xuSxHAt7PmZKzhOysU4xrsLE7TyRU1Mxm_XCvYIpZQ_NmeA7crjGGGgpwKkGtUdGC/s320/DSCF9153.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

I don't know,but I will find a place. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Just thinking about another project right now,kind of makes me sick,so wish me luck. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">If you would like to see what this turns into stay tuned,unless I ruin it and it ends up in the trash.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> <span style="font-size: large;">The project I am going to share with you today has me up in a whirl wind. Do you remember this window from my unfinished projects pile?</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjm7SYBdYF6mQeI7rOWSBLuR2-aB094x7xVp5ntgKCWVvnLnyR8qZmaL04EIJHSa_F1iyaVxLPODwOzxQT506CoyOsOsd3lf79CXHuhhfZLllsPsZH9_hJq8r9C2EfcjQMHdIVuacb9W_n/s1600/DSCF9119.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjm7SYBdYF6mQeI7rOWSBLuR2-aB094x7xVp5ntgKCWVvnLnyR8qZmaL04EIJHSa_F1iyaVxLPODwOzxQT506CoyOsOsd3lf79CXHuhhfZLllsPsZH9_hJq8r9C2EfcjQMHdIVuacb9W_n/s320/DSCF9119.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">Well I cleaned it all up and painted it yellow..,but I hated so I painted over the yellow with red, black and brown acrylic paint. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7kIo6S4wW1YUAxD6OWvYKLgxoqL9xJ3_OpSXfeu4uh03exbsHtI5wC-N5tYoFaqv-p8YEw4ySC6s_kgy2EkD1x8IFufs2WXZeEaAfZhHfAaTibAXEyIfQishKoKHujBsCxstAYPSUCZ44/s1600/DSCF9125.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7kIo6S4wW1YUAxD6OWvYKLgxoqL9xJ3_OpSXfeu4uh03exbsHtI5wC-N5tYoFaqv-p8YEw4ySC6s_kgy2EkD1x8IFufs2WXZeEaAfZhHfAaTibAXEyIfQishKoKHujBsCxstAYPSUCZ44/s320/DSCF9125.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">I painted and then smeared the paint off with a paper towel. I did this about 4-5 times on each side.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I then sanded the edges and splattered black and yellow paint randomly around the frame. Here is the end result to the frame.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDc-I3PrHN6c-O_sGiGPeYupShqs7_GeXK9Pz5QhqmFdRioJhfCnTG5Ni4C4nZCUuG0PsO_NRfft6aldcIgzxHHEqMuUkQ4ni7WO9ZWZqs2nyxMqOF6xFGa3SC_pJrVl1MIUN-u5q6Ddxp/s1600/DSCF9150.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDc-I3PrHN6c-O_sGiGPeYupShqs7_GeXK9Pz5QhqmFdRioJhfCnTG5Ni4C4nZCUuG0PsO_NRfft6aldcIgzxHHEqMuUkQ4ni7WO9ZWZqs2nyxMqOF6xFGa3SC_pJrVl1MIUN-u5q6Ddxp/s320/DSCF9150.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The result wasn't bad so I moved onto the window area. I wanted a stained glass look. I drew a little pattern using wrapping paper, taped it on the back of the window and then traced over it with Gallery Glass leading.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1VKmIu-7AumMYZf-uoKx_CtYKiJm8F9EmBTjFy7g77X6BFFaEim4HslHZrrItUACiNqt8-PVasRM3-wOnEu4PVVPj_lRODu8puX6XnV1Gdi4dGsfdjiVZlXUrYll0SP05jd3JRit9R2Xk/s1600/DSCF9140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1VKmIu-7AumMYZf-uoKx_CtYKiJm8F9EmBTjFy7g77X6BFFaEim4HslHZrrItUACiNqt8-PVasRM3-wOnEu4PVVPj_lRODu8puX6XnV1Gdi4dGsfdjiVZlXUrYll0SP05jd3JRit9R2Xk/s320/DSCF9140.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">After I traced it all, I let it dry, before I painted. Now was the painting part. I only bought the little bottles of the gallery glass so I couldn't just use select colors. I had to use them all so that I wouldn't run out of color. I discovered that it if I painted the color on with a fan brush and did a consist stroke design it wasn't so bad. I had to be very careful because if I added too much paint I would have a problem with bubbles.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsPVTFGYx3QaFsESNw5SRWF67cuNjhrdiAxwOXsheqVNOAn0UFjdqG2ePJzZK_wRUonqC65a1HLNKEn3r7ZEUJU0a4dvMIOvz7T7sVKBn4HZxlvYKKroIPklIyRXz1_47VHLTonRQra0t3/s1600/DSCF9141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsPVTFGYx3QaFsESNw5SRWF67cuNjhrdiAxwOXsheqVNOAn0UFjdqG2ePJzZK_wRUonqC65a1HLNKEn3r7ZEUJU0a4dvMIOvz7T7sVKBn4HZxlvYKKroIPklIyRXz1_47VHLTonRQra0t3/s320/DSCF9141.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">The middle was the easiest and most enjoyable part of this project. I used the Gallery glass "Crystal clear" and just swirled it around to get the textured look. After it was all dry I put it up and alas I didn't like it. So I cut an umbrella design out of vinyl and stuck it to the back of my window.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWzilu3ZjMZuXYJeArp2rrBW1Iqcl6RqU0YGfO3UHDN4IZrwuHWzEQshR6JYTVe32woYOADAb4zpkSSL5w5wHZHZHrS85xnZ7OArzEi3KYd7m7J0ly9tbRs_OkRJOk0rVHFDpJg-YXk2O3/s1600/DSCF9149.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWzilu3ZjMZuXYJeArp2rrBW1Iqcl6RqU0YGfO3UHDN4IZrwuHWzEQshR6JYTVe32woYOADAb4zpkSSL5w5wHZHZHrS85xnZ7OArzEi3KYd7m7J0ly9tbRs_OkRJOk0rVHFDpJg-YXk2O3/s320/DSCF9149.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">I think it looks better,but I still don't like it. In fact it makes me sick every time I walk past it.</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVW5UtSDznH-YZ-k5dEWE359v9aMuDc4vpR22XFi8Bx_35MG7Rq8ZiENinT5mBtKsDmwgyP9LNr1kATmpZF6JDyEeUqiqA5ID4VMi4PksD3Ax69f-U-joz2SZCHEmlkUJjv8EcmVUUeQN-/s1600/DSCF9148.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVW5UtSDznH-YZ-k5dEWE359v9aMuDc4vpR22XFi8Bx_35MG7Rq8ZiENinT5mBtKsDmwgyP9LNr1kATmpZF6JDyEeUqiqA5ID4VMi4PksD3Ax69f-U-joz2SZCHEmlkUJjv8EcmVUUeQN-/s320/DSCF9148.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">There is a good ending to this story though because the paint is REMOVABLE! I like this painting project idea,but I am going to be changing this when I can find exactly what I really want. It was a good learning experience. Any ideas? I want a cozy feel and should I painted the frame cream or something?</span><br />

I have seen a-lot of awesome projects done using graphics from the graphic fairy. So I thought I would give it a try. I chose to paint my napkin holder that I found months ago at a thrift store for 50 cents. I chose the beehive graphic because I had already painted my wood yellow. You can find it <a href="http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/2011/05/vintage-graphic-french-beehive.html">here.</a><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"> If you read my blog yesterday you will know that I was set on finishing old projects before I found any new treasures....BUT I COULDN'T HELP IT! My husband took me to a yard sale and they had exactly what I had been looking for on ebay, but better because it was only about $2.50!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">It is a cast iron ladle set, I love it! </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif3QF4Y2_pcav1rVUiL20AsXrL8SmdEsza50Qcrca_DJfW8vMABZryuzmlx5oolb9IbuXJX-Y5RFWLrGn4IM1j9UvVL-iJwCZ3l3T5eTU2V3499KLejBB8Lqqll55q8wPsrbEsJFcKJn1M/s1600/DSCF9120.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif3QF4Y2_pcav1rVUiL20AsXrL8SmdEsza50Qcrca_DJfW8vMABZryuzmlx5oolb9IbuXJX-Y5RFWLrGn4IM1j9UvVL-iJwCZ3l3T5eTU2V3499KLejBB8Lqqll55q8wPsrbEsJFcKJn1M/s320/DSCF9120.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">AAAAnd while I was there I thought I might as well pick up an old milk can that was less than $10. It wouldn't seem right to buy only one thing.</span>.<br />

Really?</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
Yesterday I did try to finish a table runner that I have been working on for about 6 years,but I ruined it in my hastiness . So to heal my wounded ego I have decided to wait another 6 years to see if I can fix it,until then my pile of junk will just continue to accumulate.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Today I want to share my finds with:</span><br />
